Even though the magical event was private and only visible to the guests of maestro Andrea Bocelli, we can enjoy glimpses of the amazing evening in Portovenere thanks to insider Instagram shares.

Portovenere was one of the towns chosen for the itinerary of Celebrity Fight Night Italy and its prestigious participants. The hidden gem of the Gulf of Poets was selected alongside the more famous cities of Florence and Verona.

CFN Italy is a fundraising event organized by the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, and has reached its 5th Italian edition. It is the child-event of the American Celebrity Fight Night, recognized as one of the elite charity events in the United States. Throughout its 20+ years of history, CFN has given more than $84 million to many charities. The event involves celebrities and professional athletes from all over the world, who participate in a night filled with auction items and live musical performances.

Sharing an Instagram post in occasion of the concert in Portovenere, Bocelli wrote:

“It is no coincidence that composers the likes of Richard Wagner and poets such as George Byron and Eugenio Montale, have chosen it as the destination for their stays, struck by its thrilling beauty and inspired by its views.
Last night “The Gulf of the Poets” welcomed us with open arms for the second leg of the Celebrity Fight Night Italy. On the stage overlooking the sea of Portovenere, magically lit for the occasion, the joy of an exceptional patroness, @catrinelmarlon, the ambassadress of the @andreabocellifoundation was clear to see.
Overlooked by San Pietro church, which has blessed the promontory and towered above its sea for almost eight centuries, the emotion felt, singing for a good cause is difficult to describe, performing in front of 350 donors from all over the world, along with my son @matteobocelli and many friends: from @joshgroban to @davidfoster , from @katherinemcphee to 張惠妹 A-mei, from Colin Schachat to @thelondonessentials… And it was a very special “baptism”, moreover, for some of the songs featured on my next album, which I performed for the very first time.”
