Following the successful editions of the past years, the Melges Sailing Series returns to the Italian Riviera, specifically in Portovenere.
There are two exciting appointments in the events’ agenda:
- MELGES32: 31 March – 2 April 2017
- MELGES20: 7 – 9 April 2017
The 32 and 20 are a one-design class of sailboats produced by the American company Melges Performance Sailboats. They are truly impressive, especially you can see them racing in spectacular landscapes such as the waters between Portovenere and Palmaria Island.
When not practicing or competing in the Gulf of Poets, the beautiful sailboats are docked in the harbor just opposite Grand Hotel Portovenere and St. Peter’s Church, further decorating the picturesque marine landscape that inspired George Byron and David Herbert Lawrence.
